Im going to a costume party in which I am to dress like an 18th century prostitute. WTF? So, help! How would I dress..from undergarments to accessories? Hairstyle?? Up? Down? Shoes? A tell-tale sign of a 'loose' woman in those days?? I havent a clue... IDEAS PLEASE?

Rent the movie "Dangerous Beauty" its about an 18th century courtesan which was a prostitute....its a great movie and it will give you costume ideas.

You could go like Madame de Pompadour. She was pretty classy for a prostitute and they called them courtesans back then. She was the courtesan to a the French King, Louis XV of France. Her clothing was rather elaborate though, as it were for most women of that era.

Hair in a curly up-do, lots of make up w/bright red lipstick, and a long, very low cut, brightly colored dress. try to enhance your cleavage as much as possible. also one of those feathery shawls/boas would help.

show lots of cleavage, and flirt excessively. most women in that time wore their hair up regardless of status. wear lots of jewelry. regular undergarmets back then were quite frumpy, but they did have garters and stockings, I would go with those. hope this helps a bit

somewhat raggedy dress, with plain white/brown/blue colors, have your boobs pop out a lot, tie hair back, your boobs are the whole costume, make em pop up a lot for lots of attention

DID YOU EVER WATCH GUNSMOKE?? KITTY RUSSELL RAN AN 18TH CENTRY CAT HOUSE OVER THE LONGBRANCH SALON. SHE HAD SOME PRETTY PROS WORKING FOR HER.
