i had that problem once with the neighbors . after 3 attempts talking to them about it , it was always ignored. i decided to call the city and told them the situation and very seriously told them it was a problem that something had to be done . it is unjustifiably that we having to work are going to work sleep & yawning account of them dogs barking and keeping us up . so they were send a letter of fine for each dog , either they removed them to another property , or they will have all 3 picked up and they will be fined . believe me , the problem was solved . wish you luck and take care .

My husband has been very successful with duct tape. You just wrap it right around their muzzle and no more barking (he had to get some sleep so give him a break). I don't think that your friend/neighbor would appreciate you duct taping their dog's mouths shut though. The next brilliant suggestion I have will take a little time. It will really work though, I am not joking about this...You fill a metal coffee can with screws and bolts 1/4 th of the way. You are going to have to stand at the fence a couple of nights at least until they get the hint. EVERY TIME THEY BARK, YOU IMMEDIATELY SHAKE THE CAN LIKE CRAZY AND SHOUT NO, BAD DOG! The dog's go into absolute shock, really! They HATE the noise and (if they are not demon-possessed dogs) they get the hint that they are doing something really wrong when they get that response from a human. I saw a trainer do this on T.V. years ago and he trained the really disobedient dogs in 20 minutes this way to correct behavior. I have used it to train mine, my friends dogs and my brother's dog. It works!

I have heard dogs like that and BOY! do I feel for you. It's a difficult problem that's for sure. Have you talked to the owners about the barking? Have they attempted to help the situation? If you continue having a problem, you can either contact the humane society, animal control, or move. There isn't many options. Or you could go get a bb gun and pop them in the butt every time they bark. Good luck!

First you go get a bottle of your favourite liquour. And you go over to your neighbour's house when he's not there. Put some of that liquour in the dog's bowl, then drink the rest of the bottle. "Trust me, you're going to need this", you say to the mutt. Then, give it to the dog. While you're doing it, show dominance by biting the dog's ear.
He'll think twice about barking now, won't he???!!

Are they barking at you? Or just people passing by? Or no reason at all?
If they are barking at you, try getting them used to your scent- this way, you will be familiar & therefore, nothing to bark at.
