It is because of the following reason:
The CW unexpectedly moved 7th Heaven to Sunday nights in October 2006. The Sunday/Monday lineup-swap was attributed to mediocre ratings on both nights. Starting Sunday October 15, 2006.

I was all excited to watch 7th Heaven tonight, and then I learned that they switched it. I was so mad. I really have no clue why they switched it, but possibly to see if it would pull in higher ratings on a different night? Or maybe because they are trying to make room for all the shows that have to merge together from UPN and WB?
In any case, I am sad they moved it, but I hope it does well on Sundays!
