Yes, I was happy that the Tigers won and since the New York Yankees are out of the postseason, the World Series will have a new champion this year; the Detroit Tigers, Oakland Athletics, New York Mets and the St. Louis Cardinals.

I am very happy that Detroit beat the Yankees because i just hate the Yankees. I am a twins fan but they really suck and always choke in the playoffs. Good Luck tigers!

I am very happy to see NY lose. Gee, how could that happen, uh?
The Yankees are the ONLY real team and NY is the ONLY real city. Thats what NYer's seem to think anyway. They can kiss my..., you know what I mean.
I am not a Tigers fan, but Leyland is probably a genius, and it was nice to see them beat the lousy Yankees.
My White Sox crapped out at the end of the season, and your Tigers also slumped, but made the playoffs. You may have gotten your slump over with, now you can play good ball and go all the way. The A's are playing well though, look out!

Absolutely...I am a lifelong NY Mets fan, and I hate the Yankees. Congratulations to the Tigers for knocking the Yankees out early this year. Now Steinbrenner will be a crybaby about it though because the Yankees feel this sense of entitlement to win the Series every year.

The Yankees leaving the playoffs after three games cheered me up. If my team had played well after the All Star Game ... well they didn't, now I hope Detroit sweeps very well for the rest of theri games!

it quite is the two. it quite is in basic terms a chain for 2 communities that are in command of their divisions. finding to the playoffs, the Yankees probably will beat the Twins/White Sox interior the ALDS. The Tigers will probably beat the Athletics. which potential it truly is the preview of the ALCS, in terms of the communities in touch, yet no longer inevitably the staff. and not in any respect the immediacy. desire the Tigers weigh down them.

Thank God! Once again Steinbrenner has to face the fact that even a two million salary can't buy the World Series. Hopefully the Yankees never make the playoffs while Steinbrenner owns them. He is a conceited jerk.

i know its alot of anti new york Yankee fans but 1.its never fun when the best team in baseball gets bounced in the first round and 2.when you have a captain acts like hes just another player on the team. jeter is not a captain and he is jealous of a-rod.Let me tell you, hardly anybody liked Reggie Jackson when he was with the yanks,But,all of the other players understood they needed him to win Jeter is not a team player he is selfish, and if we still had o'neill a real captain we would stilll be winning.the problem is not torre or a-rod.
