I am 40, married and have kids and I still get bored with life. Sometimes I think we all see the big life... the fun stuff, the go go go life and think that anything else is lame and boring. I think the down times are the life. People are the real key... I like to get to know what people do. Not occupation, but what do you really "do" every day when you get home from work. TV is just not cutting it, you can only clean and cook so much, the kids grow up and move on their own. I want to take long walks, write letters to friends, compare ideas and projects, play computer games together, think of something new to go see on the weekend, know that when I stand in the yard and look at the stars that someone hundreds of miles away is looking at the same one. Life is short... what do you do with it?... think about what you "do". Get a pen pal, a computer friend, talk about life.

So I wasn't the only one. I was a bored 32 male single no kids or wife. I took time and decided what I wanted to do. At 34 I was married at 37 I had my first Kid. I can guaranty that I'll never be bored. This may not be for you but take time and decide what path you want to take. Keep trying different things eventually one will inspire you. At 32 your not bored with life your just bored with your routine. Have you ever wanted to live somewhere different? Have you ever wanted to try something but always talk yourself out of it? Are there ways you want to better yourself like school or charity. Go for it. If you try to accomplish something life will make you very un-bored.

I suggest you change your routine, find a hobby, join a group, go back to school. Doing any of those things will help you to meet new people. New people means new experiences and that is a prescription for getting rid of boredom. You may not want to get married or have kids, but, you don't know if you will ever meet the right woman and suddenly your whole life changes. Being single can be a good thing if that's what you want; but, if you're bored, change your lifestyle and you'll experience new things.

Smart! You already realize that things, including marriage and kids, do not add up to a life for some people.
This is like your retirement fund. You have to invest. You have to invest in life and preferably others. What do you enjoy? Do it with the child whose dad is in prison or Iraq. What are you good at? Do it for a widow w/ a house to hold together? Where are you effective? Do it for a non-profit agency.
Don't go suicidal, just give yourself away.
