It's very expensive to live there. The apartment complex by the airport (Ocean Walk) charge $1,095 for a 700 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment. You can rent from homeowners, there are alot of 'mother in law' type apartments attached to houses. In order to get a good deal on stuff you have to drive up the keys about three hour drive. Maybe look at the gulf coast of Florida, Ft. Myers to St. Pete are nice areas but still expensive.

It's one of the most expensive places to live in the US. I live in S FL & try to get there twice a year, but could never afford to live there.
