Delia's has some really cute graphic t-shirts. They have a website, and there are a quite a few stores on the east coast that I know of. They aren't quite as edgy as hot topic t-shirts, but they have alot of different styles of t-shirts.

My 15-year-old daughter loves www.smartpunk.com and fullbleed.com

If you go to merchline.com there is a huge list of links to other online companies that have cool t-shirts

Also check thrift stores and yard sales for hardly worn shirts that are dirt cheap, and don't be shy in asking someone who is wearing a shirt you like where they got it!

hottopic is cool but their t-shirts are way overpriced, IMO

You can also join a very cool yahoo group called freecycle (every county has one, nationwide), and post that you would like shirts that others don't need or want anymore. Joining is free and so is everything on the group's site!
