A 17 year old boy has sex with a 15 year old girl. it's consensual! They end up having a baby, but now the father of the girl is threatening that he has up to 5 years to have the boy thrown in jail. Is this correct? They were both under age when it occured.

if the girls was 14 and the boy 16 when the sex act occured it is still statutory rape. The legal age of consent in idaho is 16. Call your county Sheriff's Department or local police department

The best thing to do is a negotiation where the boy promises to support the baby. The girl's father needs to understand that the baby's needs should come first. And babies need fathers.
