It's really not a single property (and it's definitely NOT the multiplication property of zero). Really it's a combination of the symmetric property (which says you can flip the second equation to say EG = EF + FG) and the transitive property (which says if one thing equals a second, the second equals a third, [and in this case the third equals a fourth], then the first thing equals the last).
