I don't know they were officially dating, but they did have sex! It was in April of 2005, I think. It was at her parent's house, who were not home at the time. (By the way, she was still married to Nick!!) She got friendly with Johnny Knoxville and his friends (especially Bam) while they were filming and promoting "Dukes of Hazzard." Apparently, she went out to a club and Bam was there, they started drinking margaritas, got a little tipsy, and ended up hooking up. His father first spilled the beans on the Howard Stern show, and his girlfriend confirmed it also. When he appeared again on Howard a few weeks ago, he gave some more details. By the way, there was also a rumor that Jessica hooked up with Johnny Knoxville, but they both denied it, and Johnny actually took a lie dectector test to prove it!!
Personally, I do not see the attraction to Bam! I think he is kind of dirty and bizarre, a total opposite of Nick. Maybe that is why she is attracted to that, but YUCK!!

They didn't date he was going out with Jenn when everyone started saying Bam and Jessica had sex.

yeah they did date and I also think they had sex also because bams' ex girlfriend jenna rivell dumped him because he was dating jessica simpson and he told he did so yeah they really did.
