ok so I just went to the doctor and I took a pee test. It was negative, I accepted this answer. However he didn't really ask me any questions like when the conception was ( it was 3 weeks ago) or anything related to that. I have many of the symptoms. My ex-boyfriend who would be the father insists that the test could be wrong and that its too soon and that I need to get a blood test.
I haven't skipped my period but I had spotting which was way lighter then my normal period. What do you think?

The possibility is always there for pregnancy--if you have had sex (of course)! You could go in for a blood test which would be more accurate. He probably didn't ask you any questions about the conception because of the negative results. You may be feeling the symptoms of pregnancy because you are so eager (or happy) about becoming pregnant. Our minds have an incredibly powerful effect on the way our bodies act. You may not be pregnant but want to be so badly that you are forcing (or trying) to feel the signs of pregnancy. I would say wait about three more weeks (making you possibly six weeks pregnant) and go see the doctor again. If there is a negative result again, ask for a blood test. Doctors cannot turn you away. Best of luck!

3 weeks is early, however, most pregnancies can be detected after the first 2 weeks of conception.

It's easy to have all of the symptoms of pregnancy and not actually BE pregnant. Your mind actually plays a part in this...if u THINK that you may be pregnant, you'll look for the symptoms, and therefore, you'll get them.

As far as your period goes, many different things can effect the lightness of it. You may be more active this month, both physically and sexually, or just one or the other. Either can cause your period to be light or to skip all together.

I personally thought that I was pregnant back in April. I've NEVER skipped a period before, but I missed 2 months of one after I became sexually active with my current boyfriend. Then, I had ALL of the symptoms of pregnancy...I was throwing up, sleeping more, my breast were tender...I gained weight, and the ring around my nipple seemed to be getting slightly darker. I also went to the clinic and doubted the urine test...but there was no need for a blood test because I actually wasn't pregnant.

So, u can try it, cuz I'm sure that it will ease your mind. However, if the urine test didn't come back positive, and it's almost JUST as accurate as the blood test, then I'm sure you're wasting your money.

Well, there was no conception three weeks ago. You've gotten a period and tested negative for pregnancy hormones. Sorry to disappoint you, but chances are you'd be more disappointed if a doctor indulged an idea that your hunch is more correct that their accurate medical tests, only to confirm later that you're really not pregnant. Pregnancy tests don't involve a question and answer section!
I would listen to the doctor and not your ex - boyfriend. Only one of these guys knows what he's talking about.

If its only been 3 weeks its too early to test bc typically the pregnancy hormone is too low. This is wjhy they say to miss a period first. Secondly, if you spotted and its not time for your period, this could be implantation bleeding. But other things can make periods out of whack and thirdly, most of the early pregnancy symptoms are very similar to pms so its very hard to tell. Miss the period and test, maybe even buy a double pack so you can retest a few days later if it is negative. OR,you can ask your doctore for a blood test, itll be 100%

Hey, I just had my first child. My test was a light positive so they had me take a blood test you're right it could be too early. But why not wait a week and get another test you can buy them on the internet super cheap. Is your x boyfriend wanting to get back with you if you are. I wish you all the best and if you are pregnant and are going to be alone i recommend getting help at a crisis pregnancy center. they help you out a lot with clothes, food support and more. -H

i think you need to first follow what your instincts are telling you; those are always right. then you need to go and get another doctor's opinion. 3 weeks from the time of conception is how long it would take for a pregnancy to show up on a test. and sometimes you can still get your period even though you are pregnant. so although the test said no and you got your period, you still need to take another test to find out for sure.

I have heard that the Dr's tests arent as accurate as the Home Pregnancy Tests but then it seems to be early to detect whether or not you are pregnant. You can buy HPT that can detect pregnancy as early as 5-7 before your due period. if it still turns up negative and you still think your pregnant then go to the Dr's and get a blood test.

Id wait a while and get a second opinion from a different doctor. You can also request the blood test for pregnancy.

Well, if you aren't convinced that the test was right..make an appointment for a Beta Blood Test. That will tell you for sure. Good Luck!

Take the blood test.

Two negatives are better than one.
