Do you have your math text handy? I'll help you out with the first one, and trust that you will review your text to find the answers to everything. Then, you can use ADD DETAILS to post what you think the answers are and people can help you understand what is right or wrong and why.

A conditional statement is an if/then statement....

if p, then q

the converse

if q, then p

the inverse

if not p, then not q

contrapositive

if not q, then not p

If you show your work, then you deserve to get help (conditional). If you do not show your work, then you do not deserve the help (inverse)

A conditional statement is one that can be written in if/then form. So "All dogs are mammals" would become "If an animal is a dog, then it is a mammal." The converse means you switch around the if and then parts (go backwards). So you'd have "If an animal is a mammal, then it is a dog" (which is not true, but is the converse). The inverse means you make both parts of the statement negative. So you'd have "If an animal is not a dog, then it isn't a mammal" (which is also not true, but is the inverse). The contrapositive means you BOTH go backwards and make both parts negative ... "If an animal isn't a mammal, then it isn't a dog" (which, like all contrapositives of true statements, is true).

The conclusion is simply the then part of a conditional statement. Every geometry book states its "laws" differently, so you'll have to look up specifically what they are referring to.

Dont u hate this stupid stuff?
I jus barely finished with conditional statements and stuff, and now im on proofs...watevr the hell that is.
But i think, if i remember, then the converse is the positive part of the sentence, and the converse isnt. Something like that.
Well like, thats all i know....sorry.
♥Good luck...on u r test too♥

All mammals are dogs ---

But it's not a true statement then.
