I was in a relationship for 2 years and he broke up with me about 2-1/2months.. I am still sad.

Depends. The longer you are in contact with that person, the longer it hurts. My girlfriend dumped my sorry *** and it hurt for a couple of months, but we were still talking. Once I cut off contact with with her (no calls, no emails and no meeting up), it seemed like things got back to normal pretty fast.

If you in in a serious relationship for 2 yrs of course you are going to be sad. All pain takes time to heal. I was in a 1 year and it took me a good 6 months to finally stop missing him so much. let yourelf feel sad, but dont just sit and think of them all the time. Try and move on...you will find another special someone

Listen it takes a long time to get over someone you loved esspecially in a relation ship that lasted so long. Me and the guy im still in love with broke up in high school and i missed and loved him for 2 years after...then we got back together and then broke up and again and i still love him the only difference this time is that im about to have his child in a month and it sucks really bad knowing i have a part of him forever but ill never get to love him again. You will eventually move on just give it time. I'm starting to realize i am prolly better off with out the guy i was with but wounds take time to heal....just as a broken heart needs time to heal...you will get over him....eventually.

I have heard that it takes as long as the relationship lasted to truly get over someone.Like you saw him for 2 years it will take 2 years to be over him. Now I don't know if that is really true. But I say I all depends on your life how well you heel and how fast that person that truly deserves you comes along. Good luck gurl

I was with a guy for three months and he was a total jerk to me...It took me about 5 months or more to totally get over him. When I cut all ties from him, I got over him a lot more quickly. You'll get over him; just get away from him entirely.

wow that's so hard, I hope the best for you. i know how difficult it is. All you need is time. I know your down now, but my best advice for you to get busy try a new sport do something adventures or new and daring that gets your heart racing and your mind of that jerk!

there is no set time for something like that, you may never get over him but you will be able to move on with every thing that you two have done together.
