i need to know which one is better, for music, video, and photos. battery life, quality, downloading, accesability, software, ripping music from cd's, music programs compatibles (i have roxio, windows media player, audio central, and my pc is a dell inspiron 8600). also, how can i hook up either one to my car stereo ? which one can i send images with best quality (display in my lcd car stereo)

Apple have upgraded the 60GB to an 80GB, and lowered the price, so the iPod wins in the affordability bracket. iPod have become popular because of their ease-of-use, and the fact that they are the only true MP3 player compatible with syncing. The battery life now boasts over 20hours playing music (that is testing, with the songs starting from beginning to end and shuffling with no track changing by a user). I average about 16hours. iPod can now play videos for up to 4 hours.
In my opinion, the iPod is a clearly better option, but it's up to you. I recommend finding mates with these devices and spend some time getting to know them and finding out what best suits you.

i hav the toshiba mp3 and video and the battery life rox..i hav the ipod video too but the battery life aint too good ofcourse it is better but the battery life is bad
