the key pitching matchup will be huston street vs todd jones. street throws nothing but heat and is young so he can last 2 innings more often for his saves.however, he has never had to try to close out a game (alcs series winning) to go to the world series. sometimes that gets to a kid who is as young as street is. i think he is only like 22.
todd jones is a grizzled vet who has been around but doesn't throw particulary overpowering. but, he has proven that he can do the job in many places over many yrs. on the other hand, he isn't the mariano rivera type closer who when you see him come into the game with a lead, you say damn, its over

It's going to be tight.
If you love good pitching from both sides, this will be a series to watch!
The key, of course, is can Detroit stay focused.
They are on a very emotional high right now (as am I!)
and I hope they dont crash!
A few things going in The Tigers favor is Oakland is favored.
That will make Oakland as cocky as the yankees. And we all know what happened to the yankees.
Tigers have better up the middle defense, especially with Polanco!
Pudge has a 73% rate of throwing out base runners, that will help.
Our #1 thing that favors Detroit is our fans! When they get to Comerica Park that place will be rocking and wont be no stopping! (hey, can I be a rap artist?) hehe...
Seriously, does Oakland fans even know they have a team in the playoffs?????
