What does number next to the stars in a limewire search mean? and how much of an influence is it on download speeds?

i think its how many people have that file so the greater the # the higher the chances are u get the download done and the faster it goes

The number of supernodes with active source nodes of the file you are looking for...

i.e. bigger number = faster download
