I am wondering why you singled out the Americans when there are so many other nationalities using this site. Yahoo is actually an American owed company with its headquarters in Sunnyvale California so to say that this is a british site is incorrect. Yahoo Answers is International and if you check the bottom of every page you will see that you can actually select United Kingdom. This will then allow you to chose questions only from UK and Ireland. I suggest if you don't want to see or answer questions from around the world you take this option. Just so you know I am not American.

Yes there is an Answers on Yahoo.com but just like there is nothing to stop Americans answering question posed here, there is nothing stopping us Brits from answering questions there.
Haven't seen anyone over there complaining about getting answers from the U.K. either, guess they don't care too much where the answer comes from as long as it tells them what they want to know.
Maybe there's a lesson for you in that attitude somewhere.

This isn't a strictly British site. This site is for YA users the world over.

You seek segregation?

You don't want them playing in our yard (garden or playground then)?

Yes, well, they do tend to play roughly (= violently, and why not with all the ammunition they have over there), aggressively (= beware of turning your backsides towards them, they do seem to have a certain 'rectal' fixati ) and usually with a limited vocabulary. But fear not, with the advent of their WW spread of TV and film, the Youff of today is catching up with mediocre ideas and weight.

Just watch this space.

Why should they not be involved?

By clicking on the stars n bars at the bottom, you too can cross over - or go visit Canada or go DownUnder too.

What's wrong with it then?
