That's just a way of fooling yourself that your feelings are not a sign of any permanent tendencies in that direction.
We all know from watching others that gay relationships are in no way easier than straight ones, and in fact seem to be much more volatile and stressful. So it's really no mystery why you feel a thing you already have a desire to do would also be easier to do when the alternative way you have found of fulfilling that desire no longer seems as viable - and the relative ease of any relationship involved clearly has little to do with it..

If you have thoughts that you would want to be in a gay relationship but aren't sure, then I suggest you try it.
If you meet a guy that sounds like someone you would want to date, then date him. Just tell him ahead of time that you are feeling this way, but don't know how you feel completely and don't want to hurt his feelings if you realize that you really don't like men but were only feeling helpless in your current situation.
Something to consider: If you think of a hot chick, do you get a hard on? If yes, you are probably straight. If you think of a hot guy, do you get a hard on? if yes, you are probably gay. pretty easy eh?

I don't think that's uncommon. One of the same sexual gender may seem to think things would be easier. One time I thought that it would be easier if I turned Lesbo, but I worked through it. You just get to the point that you want to give up on the opposite sex. But let me tell you, not all are the same. Hang in there, and don't give up. You'll make it.
