FYI..for the first answer..no you dont ovulate when on the pill...thats why you dont get pregnant. no egg, no pregnancy.

Well, hon its goin to take a while for your body to readjust to not being on the pill since you were on it for so long. you will experience different things until you get back to normal. like losing weight, cramping will be more intense. your periods will most likely be heavier and last longer. there is alot of different things that will go on. all of this is normal though. so dont worry yourself to much. give it at least a month or two for your body to adjust. hope this helps. For the record, AJF is incorrect. You do not ovulate when you're on the pill. If you did, you'd get pregnant! The pill makes the body believe you are already pregnant. The period you get when you're on the pill is purely slough off from the uterine wall that the body puts there because it thinks you're pregnant.

You still ovulated when you were on the pill, that doesn't stop ovulation. A slight cramping can acompany ovulation, but not cramps lasting all day. Your cycle might be messed up from going off the pill, and you may be getting your period early. If it continues, call a dr.
