Yes! definitely ! Best and simplest is a white crew neck under polo, any color no matter, and... all season. Is confident feeling, feels hot and looks cool. Wear one everyday no matter what. Forget V necks ,colors , A types. White crew neck is simple and straight forward.
.Be sure to replace them frequently, always fresh looking. Get smaller sizes than you think, they need to fit snug to be right. Girls like a together and confident looking guy which is another good reason to always wear one.

For guys, I don't see anything wrong with wearing an undershirt under a polo. If you're wearing a navy or black polo, try picking up a dark undershirt, or a dark lightweight T-shirt. That would be the only drawback, wearing a white undershirt with a dark polo on top. You can always wear the V-neck undershirts, don't really see them under a polo.

Undershirts are good, especially if it is cold. They are also good for keeping perspiration off the shirt. However, if you are planning on leaving a couple buttons undone at the top (which you should), be sure you are wearing an undershirt that doesn't show. They are called UNDERshirts for a reason. They are NOT meant to be seen. You could wear V-necks or A-shirts (aka wifebeaters).

Depends on the color.
Lighter colors I like to wear one. Seeing a bra (or a guys nipples) through something slightly professional and nice looking is kind of cheap and trashy.

its extra subtle -you will by no potential think of of wearing a dress shirt without one might you?P.S. the undershirt absorbs the perspiration -quite of the clothing and can be replaced while damp!
