Who's gonna pick up his salary? The Yankees or the team he's traded to?

Yes I think so. I hate to say it because Helton is my favorite player, but what about Helton and maybe someone like a Many Corpes (young reliever who doesn't walk many people, with a havy sinker) for A-Rod? Or one of our young, hard throwing starters that are ready to start? I know the Yankee fans hate him now but they would get a gold glove first baseman who has the highest on-base percentage of any active player. They could then trade Giambi for a thirdbaseman. Maybe Morgan Ensberg from Houston? Then the Rocks could move Atkins to first. He played there at UCLA.

I bet a lot of people would want him. He's great for the Yankees. He is a bit over rated lately but he's a great batter. Although, some people don't want just batters so it's hard to say if he will. I don't think Steinberner would allow it.

As a Yankee fan and an A-Rod "nay-sayer"
I say.......NO.
As much as I dislike him and as big as a CHOKER he is in the post-season......he's still one of the best players in MLB.
The Yanks should keep him.

I hope so...I'm not a Yankees fan, but I think that he needs to be somewhere that doesn't have so much media pressure. Also, I think it would help if he got over him self long enough to see when he's not performing and realize that he's not performing.

If they can get anyone to take him and his salary, both he and they would be better off. The question is, would the team trading for him be better off? And that depends how much of his salary they pay. I think he will get traded, and I hope it's not to my team.

I've lost track, but he was great back when he played for the Mariners. I bet they'd take him back, teamwise... but he might not be loved by the fans, if I recall correctly many of the fans felt betrayed when he went over to NY.

it might be the best thing, it just didn't work out there and I don't think Yankee fans are willing to have him back another year !!
