You can be a basketball player if you or a family member has a jeresy you can wear with some sweat pants and sneakers. Or you can be any other athlete.

If you're a girl (or a boy if you want) you can be Katniss Everdeen. Wear dark jeans, lace up boots, with a brown leather jacket or sweatshirt. Braid your bair. If you can, get a toy bow or mockingjay pin.

Cat. Not the slutty kind though. Paint whiskers on your face, and if you or a family member has a cat tail/head band with cat ears it's be perfect. If not, thise are cheap if you can buy them.

If you're a dude (or girl) you can be Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory! Wear a long sleeve shirt under a superbero/nerdy t-shirt with some khakis.

Lots of characters from your favorite shoes or movies can be easily recreated at home!

Take a 30 gallon Black Trash Bag. Cut a half moon right in the center of the sealed end. Then on each side, do the same thing for the arms.

Now cut out large white circles and glue them to the black bag. Do it in the Domino effect, this way you can go as a "Domino". This is cheap and simple!

You can also be a Jester using the same bag.. Just wear a pair of black tights and a long sleeve black shirt. Put the bag on, use a belt at your waist, paint your face like a Jester, and make a hat out of cardboard, or go and buy one!!

I was pipi longstocking for halloween a couple of years ago.. it turned out really good! I braided my hair in pigtails and put a coat hanger wire through my braids to make them stick out and sprayed my hair red. I bought a plain blue jean dress and sewed on patches. I wore 2 different colored socks that came up to my knees with black shoes and i had on 2 long beaded necklaces...it turned out really cute! everybody loved it!

All of these ideas are made out of plastic trash bags and other things around the house.

witch, Sorceress, Fairy, Vampire/countess, Queen/Princess, Nun/Priestess, etc. You can make several different variations on these as well. I hope this helps.
