the loyalists that lived in the united states soon turned to patriots after britain put all the acts upon america (such as the intolerable acts, the sugar act, and the stamp act) . great britian was like the parent saying "no" and america was the little whiny kid that said "make me". thats how the war got started. ask the loyalists why they stayed loyal and ask the patriots why they thing great britain put all these acts upon them.

Think about both sides. Forget about who wins (at this point you are pretending you don't know the outcome).

Think about who these people were. What were they doing before the war? How would their lives change? Put yourself in
their places. What questions would you ask?

1. Ask questions about what would they "gain" by a victory?
2. What would they "loose" in defeat?
3. Ask about "positions" on issues- like retribution, slaves, owning property, etc.?
4. You may want to ask about "expansion"- moving west- who should get to move? who should get property? should slaves be allowed in these new areas?

You get the idea.
