"Radical Christians" are nut-cases who stand on street corners outside gay bars screaming their doctrine of hate.
Most Christians, even those who believe homosexuality is a sin, don't condone that kind of hypocritical hatred.
But even the most radical Christian doesn't condone bombing buildings with 3000 people inside, blowing up school buses full of kids and cutting peoples heads off.
If David Koresh in Waco had succeeded in building up his arsonal & used it to blow up every non-christian place of worship, could you imagine hourds of Christians rushing into the streets to celebrate?!? Of Course not!
The religion of Islam is not bad in & of itself, but this is a dark period in the religion of Islam, just as the crusades were a dark period in the history of Christianity.

moderation is the key to all things
no extremism is good.
killing abortion doctors.
missionaries forcing Christianity on others.
food in exchange for prayer to the poor.
even done by some homeless groups here in USA. pray to Jesus first or no food some shelters require church and prayer and more for survival help? demands of religious conversion before help to a desperate audience .. it's deplorable.
going into the few still native areas in the world despite hard work to preserve/isolate by some... missionaries destroying the culture with flashlights and other cheap trinkets.to get converts.
did you ever listen to a TV Evangelists ?...the definition of christian extremists. but of you know nothing else or think they are normal then you wouldn't see.
most Mexicans became catholic generations ago because they wanted to live.
demands of public school pray to one religion leave all others out? we'd call that extreme.. if Muslims Islamics Buddhists others demanded that in USA schools, someone would scream extremist- no?
are you asking about a certain level of extremist violence or just beliefs?
ever check out the Christians in the KKK? and similar groups
so many examples so little time.

Christian Identity, Oklahoma City bombing, Eric Rudolph, Abortion center bombings and murders, various skin head movements, etc...
Here are some of their legal ideas;
Legal theories
Christian Patriots advance a variety of theories on constitutional and statutory law. Many of these theories have the theme that some group of people has used legal trickery to usurp the authority of the United States government. They often have a metaphysical aspect, in that the theorist claims that the legal reality that most people believe is an illusion obscuring a deeper legal reality.
In addition to common tax protester arguments, Christian Patriots have repeatedly made the following legal claims:
* The United States is in receivership.
* Private individuals have sovereign immunity.
* The United States is still a British Crown possession.
* Various legal instruments carry hidden meanings indicated by typography.
* The 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution (establishing the Federal Income Tax) was never officially ratified by Congress, and is therefore invalid.
* The United States is under admiralty law, martial law or a state of emergency that suspends the Constitution.
* The Titles of Nobility Amendment was ratified and later suppressed so that lawyers could make themselves nobles.
* The federal government, Federal Reserve System, or Internal Revenue Service is a foreign or privately owned corporation.
* The Right to Travel supercedes any requirements for automobile registration or driver's licenses.
* Certain features of a United States flag, such as irregular dimensions, color schemes, or gold fringe, hold special meaning (usually that a court is under military jurisdiction).
* There are two distinct flags for the United States: One version for military use, and a second (and heavily suppressed) version for civil use.
* The United States government deposits money in a secret bank account for every birth certificate issued in the U.S. since the 1936 Social Security Act, linked to the newborn American, and that through arcane legal maneuvers (including a Uniform Commercial Code lien), one can access that money via "sight drafts" (Also known as the "Redemption Movement" [1] [2]).
Courts that have considered these theories have consistently rejected them as frivolous.

I'd call it fundamentalism (Islamic or Christian). The goofs from some Baptist quack protest funerals of service wo/men & Amish; claiming that they're going to hell. Not really a big deal in my view, but if it's catchy to other quacks, who knows where it'll lead?

Ummm...how about Jerry Falwell stating Hillary was Satan? How about Pat Robertson praying for Israel President Sharon to die? What about praying for Chavez to be assassinated? What about the anti-abortionist killing doctors? Christian extremism and Islamic extremism is on opposite sides of the same coin...

Who would say such a thing? Perhaps people have said you shouldn't blame the religion for extremism, as people of many religions have done horrible things. For example, Hitler wrote extensively of how being a christian motivated him to kill the jews.
Today, there are many militias running through north africa, mutilating children in the name of Christ. You may have heard of that American Christian, Bush, who has approved the torture and murder of innocent people, and who has dropped bombs on civilian neighborhoods, destroyed life-sustaining infrastructure, and made the world more dangerous from terrorists.

bombing abortion clinics was terrorism on a much smaller level,,, bottom line is,, people died,, I would not say equal amount, as you have,, the terrorists of 9-11 have a mastermind,, Osama bin Laden,, still free to train Taliban terrorists,, it is an extremely dangerous world,, especially now that Kim Jong il has gone nuclear

well... I don't think it's quite equal... but it's there... abortion center bombings, abortion dr. assassinations, Olympic bombings in Atlanta, Ok. City bombing, and that's just in the U.S... in fact they just killed some Christian terrorists in Pakistan I think it was, if I remember correctly...
overall, I think that poverty and ignorance lead to religious extremist terrorist activities... people that don't know any better and have nothing to live for...
Many Chrisitans now live in Western nations where education standards are higher... but there are still areas of poverty and that's where the Christian extremists come from...
But many Muslim nations are still third-world countries where poverty runs rampant.. and that's an excellent breeding ground...

Bombing abortion clinics, teaching our nation's school children mythology in place of science, standing in the way of stem cell research, and George Bush are all examples.
