If you're going to start fertility treatments, I suggest you get some really good insurance. Fertility drugs are soooo expensive (and so are the procedures!).

I was on clomid for 3 cycles and it didn't help me, but I do know people it worked on, so it all depends. I was afraid to take it at first because of all the side effects that I read about. Thankfully, my body was ok and I didn't have crazy mood swings.

I'm not sure where you can get it. I've heard people selling fertility medication online, but I personally am hesitant with that since these are very serious medications you're going to be putting in your body.

My best bet would be to ask your doctor if he/she has any suggestions as to how you can get these meds for cheap. At my doctor's office, if they had a patient who couldn't afford their meds, they would ask other patients if they had any left over and if they were willing to sell their meds for cheap (this was all anonymous of course). Since my husband and I decided to stop doing our fertility treatments early this year, we sold our meds because we had enough for 2 cycles and found someone who couldn't afford to buy their meds on their own.

Good luck!!!! Baby dust to you!

Good luck to you!!!

I just finished reading Taking Charge of your Fertility by Terri Weschler...... a highly recommended book any women ttc should read... it goes into details about your body...., and what we need to do in regards to concieving. I have to say .... the author did NOT give a thumbs up about Clomid.....she states that unfortunately......and ironically it is used to help a women ovulate.......BUTthat it drys out our cervical mucus....the cervical mucus is needed to "protect" the sperm from our vaginal acids...., it helps the sperm flow upwards. Ask your doctor about the side effects of Clomid....... Good luck !!!

I hear clomid is really the way to go. And baby's aren't cheap, so I wouldn't worry about the price of it... other things will cost MUCH more. Good luck to you.

my doctor just put me on glucophage. I hear good things about it. I haven't tried it yet, but I am going to get my prescription filled, and see what happens. You should ask your obgyn about it, and she what they say. Hope this helps
