We have a tempur-pedic which we slept on for 10 years and now it is in the guest room. It is a good mattress but I got the idea that it was making my back worse so we switched to the top of the line Sterns and Foster. My back has not improved, it is probably just the aging process but I sleep better on the Sterns. The tempurpedic is so hard and really not too cosy. The tempur- pedic is in perfect condition and has not disintegrated at all.

I bought a tempurpedic bed b/c of Lyme's disease and fibromyalgia (my back always hurts) I spent $2000 on the bed and absolutely hate it, but my husband said he loved it so we kept it past the 30 days or 90 days to be able to return it and when we separated 3 months later he said he really didn't like he just knew it made my back hurt worse - so now I have a $2000 dollar king size tempurpedic and I sleeping on the couch.

If you wanted to try one they do have the thirty day or ninety day return in case you didn't like it.

No, they're top-notch, and the only oddity about them is that in very cold weather, they will freeze solid. They defrost, but until they do, they're a lethal weapon.
