In New Zealand, Pavlova ( layer of meringue, whipped cream & sliced kiwi fruit).

Depends on which country?
My Haitian heritage affords me the luxury of enjoying lots of carbs LOL! We eat lots of rice, boiled/fried plantains, potatoes.
If I am at a party I enjoy diri ak djon djon aka black rice made with mushrooms.
In Dominican Republic I feast on boiled Yucca with red onions, stew chicken seasoned with cilantro and empanadas as an apertif.
In Puerto RIco pernil and lechón asado (bbq'd pig) I had this on the beach.
Where were you looking to travel?
Hope your trip is fun.

I loved Irish stew in Ireland. My favorite food in Australia was Beef Wellington with lambingtons for dessert. In Tahiti, the best meal was beef fondue with fresh coconut ice cream.
