The dress was just altered lengthwise, while using a "invisible" stiching. However, the hem still needs pressed, and overall from below the bodice needs pressed, am I able to do this on my own?

Take it to the cleaners.

If you choose to iron it yourself turn the dress inside out. Use a pressing cloth (available at any fabric store or even Wal- Mart) Place the cloth between the iron and the garment. This will protect it. It would still be best to start on the lowest heat level and slowly work your way up, if needed. I promise this works!
Good Luck

you should go to the dry cleaner or a professional and get it press because you could mess it up and ruined or go to the laundry mat and ask for a streamer and do it that way. or you should hang on hangers in the bathroom turn on the shower with and let it steam knock the wrinkles.
