He is the rockstar of the democratic party. I'm republican but I like the guy. I think he has a chance of winning but I don't think he is ready. I don't think America is ready for a minority as president.
What do you think?

As a freshman Senator, it is too early for him to run, and not good for the Democrats, who need as many Senators as possible. Also, even though he is "creating buzz," he is still not a well known entity across the US - do you know how many people don't even know who their OWN senators are?

The clamor for change is upon us, but that does not mean that just because a person looks promising, he/she should run. In future, since Mr. Obama is such a remarkable man and has so far conducted himself in an intelligent, savvy manner, he should be able to achieve great things, and looks like he is on his way.

He hasn't introduced a presidential bid, he basically filed papers to type an exploratory committee to look at the viability of a presidential marketing campaign. That suggested, i could virtually savour a Barry-n-Hill fee ticket. human beings do look surprisingly disillusioned with the present regime and it quite is been shown that the folk, en masse, are waiting for a metamorphosis. Obama has been won truly nicely in New Hampshire, and different than for the propagandist observe play together with his call by juvenile appropriate-wingers, i think of he's have been given as solid a shot as virtually any Dem accessible.

I think he would be a terrific president. Your answer to your question is interesting. I think HE is ready. I dont know if AMERICA is ready for him. Too bad that the ignorami in the South have such a large say in the matter.

Obama is a junior Senator who needs to learn a lot and prove a lot to his peers on both sides of the fence before he is ready for a higher position. Right now he's just barnstorming and trying to make a name for himself.

I think with an attitude like yours, it is the reason why Obama won't win. Your attitude is already that of a defeatist. I think Obama is a charasmatic, eloquent, energizing politico, but he is too young. I believe that after he completes two terms, then he could run.

I like him also and I think you're probably right. 2008 is not his time. I'd look for him to actively seek the nomination in 2012, or even more realistically, 2016.

I don't think he is ready for president, yet, but as an integral part of the new administration for sure.

I don't agree with BINX (above). Two minorities, Richardson (Hispanic) and Obama, on the same ticket?
