Sometimes I like to get the Peppermint Mocha, but in all reality, taking a regular cup of coffee, and adding a packet of hot chocolate mix will get you a perfectly good mocha.

I used to like the fast food kind better but now I'd rather have the Starbucks but only because it is very strong. I prefer Starbucks but I'll take anything except coffee from Sonic. Sonic coffee is so light and see-thru.

Fast food and convenience store coffee is watered down and not tasty at all. I don't go to Starbucks b/c there are a couple local chains where I live that I go to. Not even content with making coffee at home now that I got hooked on them. Not strong enough no matter how much coffee I use. I wonder what their secret is.

Ok - I'm a coffee snob, I love Starbucks, Peets, Boca Java....and there are some other brands that are organic, free trade & shade grown that are WAY better. However....there is something to McDonalds coffee in the middle of the night or early on a cold morning when you're traveling. It doesn't really taste all that good, but it sure does smell great!

by the way, it's not the coffee that's fattening - it's all the crap you put in it...carmel, vanilla syrup, cream, etc

Okay, here's my journey into Starbucks. I used to think anyone who drank Starbucks is a yuppie. I was content with Maxwell House. Then I came into my current job, where my employer provides free coffee but it's Folgers. I got to a point where I just couldn't stand it and passed a personal refusal to drink cheap, nasty coffee from then on. So, I bought a grinder and started drinking fresh-ground Starbucks house blend. I don't think it's so awesome that I will only drink Starbucks, but I will only drink fresh ground coffee from now on.

Personally , I think Starbucks is a waste of money. People go there to say they were there or to get some type of status from drinking that crap. Like riding a Harley. There are too many BETTER products available for MUCH less !

I usually grind my own 65% French roast, 30% Mocha and 5% espresso, but if I had to choose from among your two choices it would be Starbucks or another premium house cup because I don't enjoy watered-down coffee.

Drive thru because it is lower in calories and comes with less guilt as I drink it. If I want flavor like vanilla I just buy the canned coffee mix in flavors at the store.
