the first thing you do is subtract how much you moved. like if you start with 16 and end with 30, you added 14. then you put that over the number you started with, so you do 16 divided by 14. you get .875. then you multiply that by 100 so if you added 87.5 percent. 16 to 30 is a 87 percent increase.
