It will depend greatly on the method of contraception. Some women take as long as 6 months to become fertile after stopping an oral contraceptive (ie the pill), especially if the pill had a high dose of estrogen. Some women become fertile right away. Other types of contraceptives, like the IUD, stop working as soon as they are removed.

In my first pregnancy I got pregnant on my second cycle after stopping birth control pills. I was taking them for 9 years prior.
This pregnancy I was taking the mini-pill and got pregnant while on the pill.

sometime it depends how long you were on it, I was on the depo for 3 years and got pregnant within 2 months of stopping it, but everyone is different

We have been trying for 2 years and nothing yet. Good luck. If you have serious questions as to speed up you could talk to your obgyn about taking fertilization pills and hormones or something.

i have never been pregnant but it took my aunt 6 months to get pregnant and for the hormone to stop from fully circulating through her body

i got pregnant within the first couple days off birth control..
