Yes. Not only coffee, but any liquid, including beer. I know because I drank thru a straw for months. I had brain surgery and the nerves that ran down the side of my face from my brain reacted to the surgery. For a while it looked like I had a stroke, but the reason I had to use a straw was because the nerves that control my lips around a glass wouldn't work right. It took a couple of months for the nerves to function correctly.

Yep.
I sometimes drink it out of the stirrer if its got a hole down the middle of it. It makes it last longer...and it's easeir to get it down when its piping hot.
