well since its your homework i will help out. Currently; Babe ruth although i think alex rodriguez will pass him and Albert Pujols will pass A-Rod later. I would have to say Pujols- better fielder, equal hitter

Even though I don't believe Babe Ruth would have hit now the way he hit then, I'd have to say that he's the best player of all time. Why? Simple. No other player has dominated the game during his own era the way Ruth did. Not Mays, not Williams and not Aaron. He turned the sport around.

well i dont think that there is one single player that is the greatest of all time because baseball is very hard to just choose one. you'd have to talk about great players of different areas. Home runs for example, the Babe, hands down, even though he's now sitting at #3. and then there are hitting, pitchers, and those who played unbelievable defense. hope that answers your question, sort of.

This question is really impossible to answer, as you could ask 100 different people and get potentially 100 different answers that could all be right. I'll go with Ted Williams, though. Check out his On Base % numbers during his prime, they floated around .500 for years. Also, he gave up two years in his prime to fight for his country.

certainly not A-Rod! I say Ted Williams. Best all around hitter and fielder ever. And also a man of good character and good for baseballs image.

Babe Ruth was a great hitter during his time BECAUSE HE DIDNT HAVE ANY COMPETITION AND HE DIDNT HAVE TO FACE TOUGH PTICHERS.
I think the greatest players of all times are Willie Mays and Hank Aaron.

It's too hard to pick one but, Ted williams was one of them and if you read about him, he was a right handed hitter and taught himself to hit lefty because he said it was 3 steps closer to first base.

babe ruth, no contest. he was a great hitter, a great power hitter, a decent fielder, and a good pitcher. no one could match his knack for the dramatic, and no one has ever been as dominant as he was
