I knew a 15 year old girl named Tara who developed breast cancer years ago. It's rare but it does happen. Doctors recommend you start self breast exams at age 13.
Finding a lump though in teen girls breast should not be confused however with the breast bud which is a normal part of a teenage girls breast just below the nipple or other natural lumps such as fibroadenoma. Some girls will notice cysts in the breasts that vary in size with their menstural cycle these are normal as well and affects 50% of all women. By the adult years most may not notice them.
Developing breasts are more subject to cancer than fully former adult breasts which is why teens who smoke have a very high risk of breast cancer as adults.

There are many factors:
1. taking birth control pills for a long time
2. Older women has more estrogen
3. Having a large baby
4. Drinking to much alcohol
I took Birth control pills for a long time, and my son was 8 lbs, and I use to enjoy my beer and wine. I gained weight, and got breast cancer in 1998. There are many factors, please read about them on the net.
