if you have brake noise go for composite pads instead, minimal noise and dust they are made of newer materials and less metal, they warm better to the rotor to minimize the noise and they wear less on the rotor but also wear a little quicker but you can still get about 30-35k out of them on front pads with normal driving. they are great and cheap.

Dont use them. ceramics are hign performance braking pads. The cost is high and they wear just as lond as your normal pads. especially for an everyday car, they are not worth the cost.

pro...they last longer...con...they will wear out the rotor ...but on the other hand...depending on the car...some are less expensive to buy new rotors than to have them turned...personally I get the semi-metalic brake pads...and yes they wear the rotor too...oh well it's just brakes...keep them in good condition and stay safe.

pro - last 60 000 km
con - bad for breathing when taking apart the pads
