I had the same thing last year and it turned out to be strep throat. Went to the doctor and they gave me a couple of shots and I was completely better in 2 days. The doctor also told me to gargle with warm salty water which really helped a lot too. If you decide not to go to the doctor, do try the warm salty water, it really helps. Hope you start feeling better soon!

Sounds like it could be tonsils, another possibility is strep throat-but with this the throat feels raw and painful to swallow-theres no way to tell except that you go to a doctor-they'll take a sample and determine which bacteria is the culprit and you'll get the appropriate help.

If you haven't had your tonsils removed, they may be inflamed with a slight infection. I suffered with many cases of strep throat when I was little, and now my tonsils are starting to act up on occasion. This may be the case for you.

sounds like strep to me, a gargle with apple cider vineagar, the natural kind from the health food section of the super market, try it a few times, if it doesnt clear up, might need to see the doc..good luck
