You should qualify for some free services through your local county health department. Where I live (Chicago), you would qualify for free child care until you finish high school, food stamps, and free health care for you and your baby. Your high school counselor should know about these services, but, if not, contact the health department in your county.

Staying in high school and graduating is very important. As a single mother, you will be able to get a grant and a loan for your college education.

You are on the right track for you and your baby!

I suggest you check with your high school first. Some have special contracts with a childcare center and will be able to help you get in. Some have special childcare right at the school. In any case you qualify for state assistance for childcare expenses. As long as you are proving you are going to school they will usually help pay. As far as scholarship funds. If you know what college your planing on going to maybe go to them and have them give you a list of scholarships and grants that you qualify for. You usually have to write essays to get these.
Good Luck

It would help to know what state you live in. Because every state has different programs, but I know that in California there is a big organization called CCRC that depending on your income pays for some or all daycare. For both private or none private. Your best bet is to do your research, visit your Family Services where you live. Oh, also there is the WIC program here in California. They will give you coupons for milk, powder milk, beans, cereal, juice, rice, eggs, etcetera that pay entirely for the product. Good luck!

I would think that if you are still in high school then you might qualify for free childcare. I know in the state of Texas they have this program called CCDS and it provides free childcare to people that don't have a lot of money and also gives some people who do have money some kind of grant and you only pay half of the fees. You might want to do some research in your state.

The est thing to do is mabey contact your local Workforce services, and see if you can get state assistance. They will help you pay for day care. If not then check out: Craigs List on the internet. It is like a classifieds on the net, for people in your area. "make sure you do craigslistin "your city"" good luck and I am glad to see that you want to further your education.

You can go through the state for child care, you can choose any place you think suitable and they will help you pay for it, you will only have to pay a sliding fee.
