Go for it, if you don't like it you can go back home.Nothing ventured nothing gained.

When I went to graduate school (24 years old), I lived on campus (as I also lived on campus all 4 years for my undergrad). I was an RA (Resident Advisor), so I got free room and board too.

They often have special interest living areas, so you might be able to live in a living area where you're not stuck with first time freshmen. They might also have suite-style or apartment style living instead of the one room with 2-3 roommates with the community bathroom bit.

I would definitely recommend living on campus, even as an older student. Studies have shown that students that live on campus or more likely to do better and graduate faster than students that do not. You're closer to the library, easier to meet classmates, don't have to hassle for parking, and it's easier to visit your professor during office hours.

No. I think it's great to get out of the home and into campus life. I lived on campus for five years in college and I really liked it.

23 is a great age to pursue what makes you happy. Will living on campus fulfill your needs and improve your lifestyle and academic success? Can you afford to live on campus (i.e. tuition, lodgings, food, books, personal expenses)?

As long as you can support your choice, emotionally and financially, then perhaps the right question to ask yourself is, "why not!" Then by all means 'go for it', and enjoy!

You are going to be surrounded by a vast number or folk that are mentally and physically inferior. Off campus houseing with same aged or older folk is far more akin to what you seek. Dorm life is so "predictible" its pathetic. Life with with a Masters or PhD candidate would be so much more interesting. Given your age...leave M&D's place and solicit an off campus arrangement with at least a group of Srs. or post grads....

Depends on whether you like the enviroment of living on campus, partying, staying up late, eating at wierd hours, lots of immature pranks etc. if you are past that stage (I'm 23 and I am) then you'll just be really annoyed.

Definitely. Get an apartment near campus.

no it's not too old but be mindful that most people living on campus or entering college for the first time are 17 and 18 years old. their maturity is not to your level...so just keep that in mind.

You should do it. Don't go around the dorm apologizing for your age or explaining yourself. Just move onto campus and enjoy meeting people.

You're never too old, go ahead and stay in campus.
