i have this really ugly armpit hair and I really need 2 shave it, ut my mom sayz no every time i ask her! i would be fine w/ it, but almost none of my shirts have sleeves, so i can't hide it, and every one sees it durring class when i raise my hand. help!!!

I had the same problem when I was a teen ager, my mother said the hair would grow stronger. I disobeyed her, I would locked myself in the bathroom and shaved my armpits. After a few years, I found out that my mom was right: my armpits were like those of a guy. So, I started waxing and now they are much more scarce and thin.
So, in my opinion, you should first ask your mom why she doesn`t let you shave, and try to make her understand that it`s really hard for you to cope with the social pressure . Don`t do anything behind her back.

well how old ru? i started to shave at like 13/14. if u think she is being unreasonable, talk to her ask her y. shes not letting u do it just for the hell of it theur has to be a reason. and dont mention ur friends doing it thatll just upset her. tell her how u feel and how it bothers u maybe she will give in, and also dont just say its for looks say it makes you perspire more and you smell more, dont make it all about looks

Just go ahead and shave it hair under the arm is really nasty for a girl it causes you to smell and it's just not cute....shave it off and deal with the punishment.

I can not advise you to go against your mom's wishes, but I would try to explain what you are going through, and the peer pressure you are receiving from your classmates.
If your mom still resists, have her buy you shirts with sleeves.

first of all you can buy shirts with longer sleeves! and second you should just shave your armpits without telling your mom.

You should talk to your mother about it because that's really disgusting no matter what age a girl is. If she disagrees then I would shave anyway. try to hide it from her or just deal with it.

If she wont let you shave, then use dipilatory cream like Nair, or you can wax it using Nads. Good luck with that! I remember when I asked my mom to shave. She didnt want me to but she told me "if you cut yourself, dont come crying to me!" lol

buy t-shirts with sleeves, and ask your mom why she won't let you (i don't really understand why she wouldn't) and try to persuade her she's wrong (respectfully, using facts that you can find from internet) could you possibly edit the question to also include why your mom won't let you?

I think u should just shave it..wut is she gunna ground u for shaving? and i actually do think u shood tell ur dad...they get all uncomfortable about feminine problems..its funny!...newyaz...do that!
