I do it, too. I will listen to it so many times, and then I won't listen to it again for a very long time. I find that I associate the song with certain events in my life, like a new job.

yes my song is take me as i am by Mary j. blige this year i have listened to it 20 times in a 3 month period
at the beginning of the year it was - torn - by letoya luckette
but years 2004-2005 it was you don't no my name by Alicia keys
i go through these phases,
but when its a break up i usually listen to TU PAC or JAYZ the black album
it doesn't become a problem until have made it your main focus were in fact you sit around in the same pajamas eating a big bowl of fruit loops and crying and no light is coming in the room you don't talk to the outside world on the phone u just depressed and miserable thats when you need to cut of the ipod /CD/ computer and move on

I do the same also. I don't ruin the song for me but whomever is listening also. I am currently doing that for the song "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder. It's stuck in my head and it's not even playing now!

nothing is wrong with you, I do the same thing but then i get tired of the song after a while, then i stop listening to it

yes, i do that alot and then i get tired of the song and don't listen to it for awhile. I go to sleep with the song on repeat. I woke up singing the song oneday.

I do !!! There is nothing wrong with - you just like the song - it'll be wrong if you just never move on - even though the song is old.

yes i have done that before but my sis heather made me stop listening to the cd completely! the cd was american rejects. but i dont like that song anymore because heather uses it against me because it makes me clean some how. i truely don't know why.
