I agree with Char. It's basic manners. Nobody says "please" or "thank you" any more. You can be walking in or out of a place, and someone will let the door slam right in your face. Is it really so hard to smile now days??
We were in the store not long ago and someone hit my daughter with their cart. Being taught manners, she said "sorry" even though it wasn't her fault. The person looked at her and just snorted. I couldn't believe it. I wanted to go up to them and kick them square in the @$$!! You know, not all kids are bad kids. Adults want respect, but give none to the younger people. I was always taught that if you wanted respect, you had to earn it.
It's a crazy, rude and selfish society we live in today. It's all about the trinkets that we own. People shopping with their Blackberry. People driving and eating while on the cell phone.
Where did our morals and values go??

people are separating them self in culture, like not American it's Mexican American or African American and they think they are a better race, and leaders of these groups feed the fire, people began hating each other because of race. Rich oppress the poor,that causes hate. wouldn't you hate your oppressor?politicians causes hate between the people, because they want the attention off them, there is no sorrier person on the face of the earth than a slim ball politician.

General tolerance.
People are in such a hurry, they do not bother to try to understand where others are coming from. They just dismiss what is different for being "weird" or wrong.

The more we hang out places like here, the less we're interacting with folks face-to-face out in the world. We're becoming more isolated from eachother.

Respect.for women to open the door for them. of course they can do it themselfs. to just smile. say hello. be decent.have manners.

Basic manners: please & thank you; holding doors; treating others as you'd want to be treated yourself. Things like that.
