How do you know when you are hungry and when you are full? We all keep on putting those nachos and salsa in our mouths even when our buttons are about to pop open, right? Why do people keep eating despite being full? How can we overcome this?
Please answer will seriously? Thanks

People eat too fast. There is a delay in being full and feeling full so we keep eating. We need to slow down.

There are two reasons that I can think of. One, people often have something missing in their life, for whatever reason the feel unfulfilled. It's like having a hollow spot. Eating temporarily fills that spot, and people continue to eat in an effort to feel satisfied. Two, people my age (I'm in my late 50s) had it drilled into us that you cleaned your plate before you left the table, even if doing so made you so full you were sick. There are probably still people out there who have had that ingrained in them. It's something that carries over to whatever they're eating. If they open a bag of chips, rather than close up the bag when they've had enough, they eat till the bag is empty because they've been taught no to "waste." Hope that made sense for you.

It takes about after 30 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain you are full and you do not need to eat anymore. People will overeat if they eat too fast and they go beyond the time that the brain needs to warn the body. The best way to take advantage of this feedback system and not over eat is to take 1 bite every 30 seconds. It has been proven that people who eat this way will eat less than somebody who just shovels food into their pie hole.

People keep eating because they are in a habit of eating until they feel uncomfortable or until its all gone. This comes from not paying attention to what you are doing or from not being used to having control over your body (just doing whats convenient or what feels or tastes good to you). You have to want to control your eating badly enough before you ever will. Sometimes people eat from depression or because they are sad. Maybe about being overweight. This compounds the problem. Love yourself enough to say" I am going to do whats good for me and my body and not what I am in a habit of". If you know God, He can and will answer your prayer about keeping your body under subjection. Hope all goes well!!

technology has a major effect in producing new flavours and we have greatly relied on technology. technology has opened a new door for human to search for new flavours. we eat too much because we want to satisfy our curiosity of flavours.

second point: technology also has an effect on the availability of food in your fridge. as in the days before the advances of technology, a lot of people suffered starvation however technology has a reverse effect that it made people suffer obesity.
thirdly I would say the stress to adapt to new technologies also has an effect. some people when they are in a state of stress they tend to eat too much.
