ive been using dr.brown bottles for about 2 months but they are really a hassle to wash and was wanting to switch to regular bottles.i want to know if they really help or if its just a bunch of crock.i cant tell because around the same time i started using dr browns i switched to lacto free milk so i think the difference i noticed had to do with the milk and not the bottle

Our newborn had a lot of problems with gas when he was first born so we used the Dr.Brown bottles for a little while. After he was a few days old his stomach stopped bothering him and we switched to regular bottles. He's never had any problems with them and does not spit up or have gas. I think his tummy was just new to proccessing food it had nothing to do with the bottles. I say try going off them for a few days and see if there's any difference.

Use the Playtex ventaire is work as good as Dr.Brown, because the vent in the bottom and the bottle shape angle.About the milk,Lacto free is easy digest then regular Formula.I work in the infants room for 12 years, and I have 3 children.Just form my own experience and from the parents.

When my daughter was a baby she spit up all the time. I got dr. brown bottles because someone recommended them but I am not sure they made much difference. She still spit up and when she stopped I think it was more due to growing out of it. So I can't give you a strong recommendation for staying with dr. brown. I agree they were a hassle, I was always losing all the parts.

My son spit up alot so I gave those bottles a try and they didn't make any difference. Babies generally spit up because they have weak stomach muscles which strengthen as they get older. If your baby was spitting up because he/she was taking in too much air the bottles probably would make a difference, but if it was due to the formula you were using I'm sure the bottles probably aren't worth all the hassle of cleaning.

I will tell you that I am raising a granddaughter who was born 7 weeks early. She had a really bad problem with throwing everything up. We put her on Dr. Brown's bottles and she never threw up or spit up again. She started gaining weight and we haven't had one problem since. I would get them again if I was to have to raise another grandchild. I would not change the bottles if I were you. I know they are a pain and they are very costly but it is well worth it for your baby's health and comfort.

I've used Dr. Brown bottles since my baby was 2 or 3 months old and they really help. Before I started using them he would get gas all the time but now since I started using them he hasn't had gas since and hasn't gotten the colic which is a real relief.

For me the Dr. Brown bottles are the best. My second choice is the Playtex nursers. If your baby is just lactose intalerent you may try a different bottle. If I were you don't even bother with the Avent bottles, they leak if you do not know how to seal them right. I know how to seal the Avent bottles, but I still don't like them.

I had Dr. Brown with my first. They are a pain in the *** to clean.
I switched to Gerber with my second, and they worked just as well, and they cost a lot less, and are a breeze to clean with a bottle brush.
