97 malibu ignition?

ignition locked up but after was replaced..only starts once every once in a while otherwise it shakes when trying to turn over..and does nothing..

can you explain yourself better? This makes no sense and i would like to help you out here. What part was replaced? Ignition starter? Switch? Relay?

one common mistake is unnecessarily replaceing ignotions,batteries,starters and such is CLEAN the battery cables posts and connections try that and see if it doesn't start like a champ does it whine during starting or running the starter might need to be moved backwards or forwards
