I have a b.a. and a law degree and can't go back to school for a teaching certificate at the moment. Does anyone have suggestions?

Many states offer "alternative certification" programs. They allow you to teach while earning your certification. Check out the Department of Education in your state for more info. Also, many private schools will hire uncertified teachers, but they are often paid much less.

Because you have an advanced degree (I'm guessing you have a JD or an LL.B.?) you can teach in ANY state. You will have to be certified within a certain time period, usually 18 months to 36 months, but you can in EVERY state.
