I am a university student and have been using an extended line of credit to pay for personal expenses. Its reached $5000 now, and the bank refuses to extend it further because I'm currently unemployed.

I only have 2-3 months until I graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering. I have a full credit load, so working isnt a great option. I feel that my current loan accruals and the additional $1000 I want for the next few months could be payed off quickly with a new job.

The banks don't care much for potentiality however, and I feel like I'm stuck.

Is there anywhere or any method that one can get a personal loan without a job (perhaps with the ME degree being factored in?)

Thanks

The prosper site seems like a great idea. I believe it says, however, that every month repayments are owed.

I'm looking for a 4 month or so window. Then I should be able to pay it in almost lump sums... unless that's not allowed either >:O

Go to www.prosper.com and plead your case. It's probably your best shot at getting funded without getting totally screwed since you're dealing with individuals who will listen to your story.
