my friend tells me that Italy had copied the Mexican flag, and the language...is it I who's ignorant or my friend and his other friends? cuz I believe the Italian flag was inspired from the French flag, instead of the blue they put Green, and the flag came out in 1796 but the Mexcan flag was adopted in 1863? and um how can Italy copy the Spanish language if the language is originally latin just like the Spanish language is from Spain.

I gotta say your friend is a little too ignorant. Of course Italy was first the languages are similar but there are also similarities between Spanish and French and that´s because the all come from the latin. And about the flag, there are much more countries than colors so, many flags can look a little bit like others.

Italy's flag is based on the French flag during the time of Napolean when he controlled Italy.

You are incorrect regarding the date of the basis of Mexican flag, I think that it was earlier, but the two flags are more or less unrelated.

Languages both developed from latin. Spanish has a little arabic mixed in for a strange flavor.

You'll never get a correct answer to this one, because the Irish also have a similar flag, Iran is green white and red but horizontally, and the list goes on. They're all different in their own way.
