First of all, well done - it sounds like you have been job searching for a long time so I can understand why you are nervous about the interview.

But the fact you have got one means you impressed in your CV/job application, so you can use that as a base to go on with.

Obviously dress smart, be punctual, but most importantly, smile and take an interest.
I am guessing the position you have applied for is customer facing, so you need to show the interviewer you are comfortable around others: that you can assist others.

Do this by being pro-active: ask questions about the company, about the products, be keen to understand how things work.
Be minimal in asking about yourself - pay, hours etc. Most companies see this as a bad sign at an interview.

Do not go to the interview clothed in River Island goods. This will be noticed by the interviewer - besides, surely you would want to go as yourself and not as the company would favour you...

Show an interest in the job; ask, ask, ask questions about the company; be as confident as you can to make them want to employ you; smile and show eye contact...

You can go to the interview, be shy, not ask any questions and not get the job...
You can go, smile loads, ask many questions, and get the job...

Even if you smile, ask loads of questions, take an interest, and not get the job, you haven't lost anything...

Just be yourself, and do your best. I wish you all the luck.

Don't wash for a few days, plaster your face in make up, dye your hair a weird colour, chew gum loudly, answer every queston with "Dunno, have you tried Dorothy Perkins?"
If you have to do role play ignore everyone but the most beautiful person and give them your full attention until the queue builds to about twenty people and then close your till.
Stare blankly at the floor for forty percent of your time, ignore as many people as you can for the remaining 60 percent.

Preparation is the key for any job.

Know your cv back to front and be prepared to expand
on anything mentioned. Know the job and what they are looking for and try and tailor your answers to suit thier requirements.

Try to set yourself apart from other candidates.
Most important be yourself and try to relax - think of it as you also interviewing them to see if this job is suitable for you.

Dress like they do.
Be presentable, you got to dress and 'speak' like they do...
smell good...smile....another good trick is to get a professional hair cut, you know "look the part but don't go OTT"!
