Comparing Kim Jong Il and George W. Bush is a bit superfluous don't you think? I mean, aside from the fact that they both have extreme difficulty speaking the English language, there isn't much in common.

North Korea is one of the poorest nations in the world, with the vast majority of its people below the poverty line. Even at the USA's worst in the past 6 years, it has never, ever approached the kind of decay and rot that the North Korean economy has been for the past 16 years.

As for your statement about North Korea having nukes 3 years ago, North Korea has claimed to have nukes for the past 15 years. They have always bluffed up till this point.

And as bad as the Iraq war has been, the casualties from a war with North Korea would be much worse, with thousands dying everyday rather than dozens. It is a country that has been prepared for an invasion for nearly 50 years, pouring all of its resources into military spending. The rest of the world has been somewhat aloof during the Korean nuclear standoff, and an unilateral war with them would be a horrible tactical decision.
